Gunpowder tea has acquired its name by the appearance of the leaves, which are rolled into tight pellets resembling shot. Gunpowder green tea has a robust, satisfying flavour but should not be steeped too long.
Use 1 level teaspoon per cup and steep for 2 minutes in 90°C water.
A first class cup of tea lovely even when cold.
Came back to this after trying a more exotic blend. This is consistent, lovely balance, and exceptional value for money. Only a very small amount needed, works well for 2 brews.
I use 2 tsps. in my brewer -- infuse for 3 mins (use the egg timer !!! )for mug full. Terrific....usually go for 3 infusions ( the 3rd can get a bit iffy but still good.
Strong tea, I used less spoon full than it said making it go further. Was very nice.
It's simple and strong. Good if you want additional energy to keep you going.
