Hibiscus & Red Berry Iced Tea
25th Jun 2020
On June 10th we celebrated National Iced Tea day with a rich, red fruity iced tea.
This flavourful recipe is so easy to make and contains a delicious blend of hibiscus petals, elderberries, blackcurrants and currants.
This tart and refreshing drink can be enjoyed at anytime throughout the day as it is naturally caffeine free!
Serves 4 medium glasses (or 2 large)
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of Hibiscus & Red Berry Cocktail Tea
- 6 cups of water
- 1/3 cup of fine brown sugar (although white granulated is fine)
Step 1
Gradually bring the water to boil in a medium sized pan, then add the tea. Stir for a few minutes, allowing the flavours and aromas to release.
Remove from the hob and allow to cool gently for around 1 hour.
Step 2
Strain through a sieve and slowly stir in the sugar. Place in the fridge and allow to cool for another hour.
Serve with lots of ice and a sprig of mint or lime.
